Steven Achiam is a photographer whose work concentrates on contemporary and social issues.

His photo stories have been published in newspapers and magazines in Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Italy and Germany.

Newly awarded as "Tv-photographer of the Year" and prized "Multimedia site of the Year" for his team work on the human consequences of climate change for facetheclimate.org.

In 2008 he was honored by the Unicef Photo jury for 'sumo boys' and the year before at World Press Photo Awards for an image of a migrant worker in Kuwait.

I 2009 he became a freelancer and focuses his energy on photo stories. He still holds a position as a part-time staff photographer at Danish Business daily and Magazines "Børsen"
