When Houses Fall Into The Sea (unpublished)
Coastal erosion over the last few decades has rised rapidly along Georgia's Black Sea coast, which disappears into the ocean up to 17 meters per year. In the past 80 years the coast has been moved 400 metres back in some places, and nearly 50 families in two rows of houses have seen their houses fall into the sea. Nowadays the beach is drowned with leached building materials, that authorities use to prevent a massive sea erosion. The world's coastal areas are increasingly feeling the pressure from the combination of rising sea levels and wilder weather. Adlia, Batumi, Georgia.
